We all know how important it is for your dog to wear a collar and tag – in fact it is the law for your dog to wear an ID tag. When choosing what to put on your dog’s tag – the following points should be taken into consideration:
🐶 Do not put your dog‘s name on the tag as this makes it easier for dog thieves to call your dog to them.
🐶 Do add your surname, the first line of your address, your postcode and your contact number.
🐶 Make sure the tag and writing is big enough so that people can read it in an emergency.
🐶 Add information on the other side if you wish to describe your dog to help people understand how to handle them if they are found.
🐶 Do not use the flimsy ring provided with the tag – they are usually not strong enough and break. I use a strong key ring type ring I get from hardware stores to attach my tags.
