Dog and puppy trainer Isabelle Papé of Ringwood Dogs can help with reducing unwanted behaviour that has become an ingrained habit over time, managing it and teaching alternative behaviours. Should your dog have a specific behaviour that you are finding hard to manage, a tailor made programme will be created to suit you and your dog’s needs and target the behaviours you are currently experiencing with your dog. There is never a “Cure All” method for training dogs with habitual behavioural problems as each dog and owner will have very different needs and expectations. However, by rewarding and focusing on the behaviour you do want your dog to display, we can then begin the reinforcing cycle that helps your dog repeat the desired behaviour and a better chance of leaving the unwanted behaviours behind.
Dealing with a dog with habitual behavioural problems can be exhausting, but once owners have a better understanding and training is incorporated into daily life, your dog will become much more enjoyable and you’ll feel better in control!
