Welcome to the Ringwood Dogs Training Club. Classes are taught by myself, Isabelle Papé IMDT, ISAP – a fully qualified and accredited dog trainer and a friendly assistant. For more information about me and the services I have to offer, please visit my “Your Dog Trainer” page or email me via the Contact Me page.
The training club offers regular classes for committed owners and is geared towards puppies who have completed the puppy manners course or the teenage loonies course or for dogs who already have a good understand of the basic commands. Each class aims to show owners how to improve their dog’s obedience whilst having fun at the same time. Meet like minded owners and their dogs for an action packed class covering General Obedience, Socialisation, Fun and Games. We shall work towards improving upon the “eight essential commands” needed to become a well behaved member of the family including – Focus, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Leave It, Drop It and Heel (walking nicely on leash).

We will be building on these essential commands by adding the three “D’s” in training (Distance, Distraction and Duration), lowering and raising criteria depending on the dog. Also included will be tricks, games and enrichment to offer a good balance between obedience and socialisation. This course is a “Positive Reinforcement” course where no force or punishment will be used to train your dog. Only kind, fair and effective techniques are used, making the classes fun and stimulating for both dogs and owners. Some classes will include homework sheets for new commands you have learnt, so that you can practice at home with your dog after the class.
IMDT Partnership Grades
There is also an opportunity to work through the IMDT Grades 1-6 in a stress free, supportive and friendly environment (no scary exams). The IMDT Partnership Grades are an internationally recognised award system combining functional training and fun for dogs and owners. A Certificate and Rosette is received for passing each grade and owners are welcome to progress through all the grades should they wish to do so.
These classes are geared towards friendly, well socialised adult and teenage dogs who enjoy a class environment and meeting other dogs and people. Meet like minded owners and their dogs for an action packed class covering General Obedience, Socialisation, Fun and Games. Dog training is a family event, so we encourage you to bring partners and children along to the class so that everyone can learn together.
Please note: These classes are NOT for dogs who are reactive towards other dogs. This includes reactive barking / lunging at other dogs. Bringing a reactive dog to class often makes matters worse for your dog and is very distracting and sometimes frightening for the other dogs attending classes. Should you be worried about your dog’s behaviour and whether the course will be suitable for her/him, please do get in touch and we can chat about your needs or look to booking a private “one to one” training session to address your situation and training requirements.
Class Dates and Venue
Classes are held on Saturday mornings / afternoons for one hour at:
Burnt House Lane, Bransgore BH23 8DD.
